Using Glim
What is Glim?
Glim is a mental health and wellness space. You can take short quizzes and check-ins, check in with your light each day in Kumusta, write in a private diary, keep a small circle of people who care, and read kind words on the wall.
Is Glim free?
Most quizzes, the Glim Meter, Kumusta, Tala, Kasama and the wall are free. Some deeper quizzes are premium: you take them and see your headline for free, then choose whether to open the full reading.
Do I need an account?
You can take a quiz first. To open and keep your reading, sign in or create a free account. Your account keeps your readings, your light and your diary in one place.
How old do I need to be?
Glim accounts are for people 18 and up. Learners 15 to 17 can take quizzes their school gives them through Glim, with a parent's or guardian's consent. Parents can also answer some check-ins about their child.
Is this a mental health test?
Glim quizzes are check-ins, not tests or diagnoses. They help you notice how you are doing, in a few minutes, privately. Only a licensed professional can diagnose. If something feels heavy, Glim shows you free help lines right away.
Can I use Glim in Filipino?
Yes. Most quizzes and Kumusta have a full Filipino version. Use the English or Filipino switch at the top of the quiz.
Can I install Glim on my phone?
Yes. Open Glim in your phone's browser and add it to your home screen. It opens like an app and can remind you to check in at a time you choose.
Quizzes and results
Is a Glim quiz a diagnosis?
No. Every Glim quiz is a reflection that helps you put words to how you are. Only a licensed professional can diagnose a mental health condition.
Who makes the quizzes?
Some quizzes use published research scales, word for word, with credit. Others are Glim originals that draw on research. A licensed psychologist reviews them. Each quiz says what it is built on under About this quiz.
How often should I retake a quiz?
Whenever you want to check in, especially during stressful weeks. Many readings suggest coming back in two weeks so you can see what changed.
What if my result is heavy?
Your reading always shows crisis lines and gentle next steps when your answers point to something heavy. Those readings are never locked behind a payment. If you are in danger right now, call 911 or the NCMH Crisis Hotline at 1553.
Privacy and safety
Who can see my answers?
Only you. Your readings are private unless you choose to share one. When you share, people see the headline only, never your answers.
Does Glim sell my data?
No. Glim does not sell personal information and does not use your mental health information to target ads. Read the Privacy Notice for the details.
Does AI read my diary?
Only when you ask. Tala entries stay private. If you tap Ask Glim to reflect, that one entry is sent to an AI provider to write a short reflection. Entries with signs of crisis never go to AI; they show support lines instead.
Premium and payments
How do premium quizzes work?
You take the quiz and see your headline for free. To open the full reading, you can buy that quiz, a package, or an all-access pass. The price is shown before you pay.
Will I be charged again automatically?
No. Glim sells one-time unlocks and passes that end on their own. Nothing renews without you choosing it.
How do I ask for a refund?
Write to support@thrivewithglim.com. We refund duplicated or wrong charges, payments we cannot match to your purchase, and readings that did not open because of a fault on our side.
Kumusta and circles
What is Kumusta?
A ten-second daily check-in: how bright is your light today. Over time Glim shows your patterns and asks how things went when you ask it to remember.
What can my circle see?
Only your light color for today. Never your readings, your diary or your answers. Dim alerts are off unless you turn them on.
Who reads the wall?
Every note on the wall is read by a person on the Glim team before it shows. Notes are anonymous to readers, and notes with personal details or signs of crisis are not published.
For institutions
Can my school or company see my answers?
No. Institutions see group totals only, and small groups are combined so no one can be singled out. If a school asks to see your own result, it is shown only if you agree.
How do institutions work with Glim?
Schools, workplaces and local governments get their own version of a quiz with their own structure, group reports, and a support contact people can ask to reach out. Book a walkthrough to talk to us.
