About Glim

Kumusta ka, talaga?

How are you, really?

Glim helps people notice what their mind is telling them before it gets heavy, with short quizzes, a daily check-in and small circles of people who care. We started in the Philippines. We are building for everyone.

Why Glim exists

Most people do not wait until they are in crisis to wonder how they are. They wonder on the commute, after a long shift, in the middle of review season, or late at night when the house is finally quiet. Glim is for that moment.

Riyan Portuguez, RPsy, wrote the Glim Meter so that anyone could check in with themselves in two minutes, in words that sound like the voice in their own head. People shared it, came back to it, and asked for more. Glim grew from there: a library of quizzes for students, workers, parents, couples and friends, Kumusta for the days in between, and versions for schools, workplaces and local governments.

Every quiz on Glim is a reflection, not a diagnosis. It helps you put words to what you feel and points you to the next small step, including real people when you need them.

What we believe

  • Checking in should feel like a conversation, not a test.

  • Your answers are yours. You decide what to share, and with whom.

  • No one should have to pay to be told where to find help.

  • A quiz is a mirror, not a label. A licensed psychologist is always part of how Glim is made.

The people behind Glim

Six people who own and build Glim together: a psychologist, a people developer, and four engineers from different fields.
